Beveled Plus redwood decking should span no more than 24 inches for standard decking and 16 inches for diagonal decking. Leave 3/16 of an inch between deck boards. Use only non-corrosive hardware and fasteners with redwood. Stainless steel and hot-dipped galvanized hardware is recommended.

Natural redwood is easier to install than wood substitutes. Hidden fasteners are recommended for a more finished look.

Redwood looks better and lasts longer than
other woods without a finish; however, the periodic application
of a
protective finish extends the beauty and service life of redwood.
Finishes for Beveled Plus redwood decking should contain a water
repellent, a UV inhibitor and a mildewcide and should be specifically
formulated for walking surfaces.
With its rich, warm beauty the look of real redwood can’t be matched by other woods or wood substitutes. Beveled redwood decking looks great new and keeps on looking great year after year, making it an ideal choice for decking.
