Beveled Plus Decking Installation

Beveled Plus redwood decking should span no more than 24 inches for standard decking and 16 inches for diagonal decking. Leave 3/16 of an inch between deck boards. Use only non-corrosive hardware and fasteners with redwood. Stainless steel and hot-dipped galvanized hardware is recommended.

Natural redwood is easier to install than wood substitutes. Hidden fasteners are recommended for a more finished look.

Beveled Decking Finishing

Redwood looks better and lasts longer than other woods without a finish; however, the periodic application of a
protective finish extends the beauty and service life of redwood. Finishes for Beveled Plus redwood decking should contain a water repellent, a UV inhibitor and a mildewcide and should be specifically formulated for walking surfaces.
